Recorded lecture12/8/2023 If you have checked all 3 items in this list, you are ready! Your sessions will be automatically recorded for the duration of the unit. To change the capture option for just one lecture, stop the recording at the beginning of the lecture (a long press of the lectern button) and use the Record Now app to start a new one with your choice of capture option. This will change the settings for all recordings on the unit. If the majority of lectures on a unit require Screencast/Camera, contact the IT Service desk and ask for Screencast/Camera to be enabled for your sessions.View examples of the different results you get with Slides vs Screencast, or view full Screencast example (Video, 1 min). Screencast: This is recommended if you need to capture moving content such as video or live annotation, visualiser or mouse movements, as it captures 30 frames per second.See an example of a recording made with the Camera option (Video, 1 min). If there are multiple boards in the room, stickers on the board will show the capture area. Note that very few cameras in rooms are adjustable, most are fixed to record the chalkboards/ whiteboards. Camera and Slides: This will include your slides at a low frame rate, as well as what the room camera can capture. If you need either camera recording, or smoother movement capture, there are two non-standard capture options (sometimes called "templates"), you can request: streamed video or handwriting on a visualiser and does not include camera recording, even if the room has a camera enabled. The default option works well for most presentations, but is not able to smoothly capture movement on the screen e.g. If there is no-one or multiple/various staff named, the Unit Director will own the recording and receive notifications about it.īy default, the automatic lecture recording will capture audio and the slides you show on the computer you connect to the room system at a low frame rate, which is adequate for straightforward lectures and slideshows. See an example of a recording using the Slides option (Video, 2 mins). This person will be the recording’s owner and will receive a notification when the recording is ready.
